Building automation at Resco is built around its work as an authorised distributor of Honeywell Building Solutions, using Honeywell Building Manager as the enterprise platform and open protocols including BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, OPC and ODBC so different manufacturers' equipment can be brought onto one system.

This also lets building automation connect with Resco's security and fire and life safety work: access control can be linked to HVAC scheduling, and a fire alarm event can trigger HVAC shutdown through the same BMS, so the building responds as one system rather than several.
